Malahide Township uses an automated calling service to advise and update residents on flooding and water/sewer service emergencies. This system will inform municipal water service customers of potential emergencies such as boil water advisories and water main breaks, and planned water-main shutdowns. This system will also keep Port Bruce and Springfield residents informed of any potential or imminent flooding, and will convey any flood warnings/watches issued by the Catfish Creek Conservation Authority. Residents of Springfield will also be notified of any municipal sewer service emergencies.
If you wish to make any changes to your contact information, please call the Township Office at 519-773-5344, ext. 232. We can add extra phone numbers (cell, work, etc.) or an email addresses for landlords, tenants, caregivers etc. If you are a resident of the Port Bruce or Springfield area, or any customer of water/sewer utility services, please complete the form below to ensure that we have your contact information.
Due to the recent close calls in Malahide, and not so close calls in area municipalities along with the dry conditions and prospects of rain at a minimum, Malahide is placing a burn ban into effect until environmental conditions change. Environment Canada has also issued an extreme air quality warning in Elgin for the next couple of days that can only be exacerbated by unnecessary burning.
