The E-Waste Bin program at Malahide Community Place has been temporarily suspended. In the interim, those wanting to donate electronic waste to the program can drop off items at the STEAM Education Centre located at 745 Talbot Street in St. Thomas.
An Electronic Waste (e-waste) Bin has been installed, in partnership with the Elgin County Library Branches and the STEAM Centre in St. Thomas. Drop off your e-waste 24/7 including TVs, computer monitors, keyboards, mice, printers, scanners, fax machines, microwaves, modems, routers, cell phones, telephones, computer towers, cords, batteries, satellite receivers, cable boxes, printer cartridges, radios, blenders, food processers, VCRs, DVD players, laptops, stereos, speakers, vacuums, power tools, tablets, gaming consoles and peripherals, to support the STEAM program.
July 6, 2020: Southwestern Public Health issues extreme heat alerts when Environment Canada forecasts temperatures that are expected to be at least 31°C and overnight temperatures are at or above 20°C for two days or the Humidex is forecasted to be at least 40°C for two days.
