Mayor's Message

Dear Members of the Business Community,

On behalf of Council of the Township of Malahide, I would like to thank-you for selecting the Township of Malahide as a potential location for doing business.

Malahide’s rich farmland and Carolinian forests surround the Town of Aylmer in South Western Ontario on the north shore of Lake Erie. In 1998 the Township of Malahide was amalgamated with the Township of South Dorchester and the Village of Springfield to form one municipality. The Township of Malahide was named after a famous and historic castle in Ireland.

The Township is proud to maintain it’s agricultural base but welcomes new residential and commercial development.

We are very proud of the “Business Community” that calls Malahide home. Any municipality can sell you a location but Malahide offers you a diverse culture, atmosphere, a highly qualified workforce and a wonderful quality of life in a rural environment with the amenities offered by larger centres close at hand.

Join us in Malahide, where our proud traditions have created a bright future.

Sincerely,

David Mennill-Mayor
