The Township of Malahide develops plans and completes studies and reports to improve and support current and future Malahide residents.  These documents provide staff with goals and means to achieve these goals.  Plans, Studies, and Reports are used in conjunction to advance municipal policies. 

Why does the Township issue Plans?

The Township of Malahide creates many different types of plans. These plans provide Council and staff with the necessary common focus, priorities, outcomes and strategies to be pursued over the short and long term. Some examples of plans created are official plans, draft plans, and strategic plans.

Why does the Township complete Studies?

Studies provide vital findings and research required to implement the principles and policies of Council. Depending on the type of study, Council may adopt specific policies upon completion of this research.

Why does the Township create Reports?

Reports are created by Staff as a means of communication between staff and key constituencies, such as Council, senior administration, agencies, stakeholders, and the public. These reports provide vital information and recommendations to Council to base current and future decisions on.
