The Council of the Township of Malahide will be presented with the 2026 Draft Budget at the December 18^th  Council meeting. The draft budget book, and associated staff reports are included in the Council meeting agenda package and provided below.

Starting January 1, 2026, the way recycling is collected in the Township of Malahide and across Ontario will change. 

This will NOT affect residential households, but does impact businesses, industrial, commercial and institutional properties.

The Township of Malahide office will be closed for the holidays from Wednesday December 24th at 12:00pm and reopening on Friday January 2nd at 8:30am.

* Building Inspections will resume on Monday January 5th.

Please note that garbage and recycling pick-up over the holidays will be changed as follows:

CHRISTMAS DAY:  If your regular garbage and blue box pickup is on Thursday, December 25 – it will be picked up on Saturday, December 27, 2025.

NEW YEARS DAY:  If your regular garbage and blue box pickup is on Thursday, January 1 – it will be picked up on Saturday, January 3, 2026.

2026 Garbage Bag Tags have been mailed out!

Tags no longer expire so you can use any leftover tags from this year.
