Noxious Weeds Public Notice

In accordance with Ontario’s Weed Control Act, all property owners are required to remove noxious (harmful) weeds by June 16, 2025, and continue to manage them throughout the growing season.

If no action is taken, the municipality may enter the property to remove the weeds, with associated costs charged to the property owner.

The Act aims to protect agricultural and horticultural lands. It generally does not apply to lawns, gardens, or private spaces, unless the weeds impact nearby farming...
