Notice of Study Commencement Planning, Preliminary Design and Class Environmental Assessment, Highway 3 St. Thomas to Aylmer Project Reference: GWP 3039-24-00
The Ontario Ministry of Transportation (MTO) has retained Stantec Consulting Ltd. to undertake a Planning, Preliminary Design, and Class Environmental Assessment (Class EA) Study for Highway 3 from St. Thomas to Aylmer, in Elgin County.

CCCA Watershed Conditions Statement March 2, 2026

This is a Water Safety, Watershed Condition Statement reminding residents that warming temperatures increase river flows, melting snow will produce slippery and unsafe riverbanks, and that other unforeseen factors could be dangerous for waterway recreators. Flooding is not expected at this time.

You asked, we listened! Malahide residents can now buy garbage bag tags at two local retail stores in addition to the Township Office. It’s easier than ever to grab tags close to home while running errands.
This update supports accessibility, local shopping, and responsible waste disposal.
Bag tags are still available at the Township Office for $1.50 each.
Bag Tags can also be purchased at the following Malahide locations:

Catfish Creek Conservation Authority-Normal Watershed Condition Statement

Issued February 23, 2026 - The Flood Warning, Watershed Conditions Statement issued on February 22, 2026, has been retracted and is downgraded to a Normal, Watershed Condition Statement.
Normal Watershed Condition Statement- Conditions have improved flooding in low-lying areas of the watershed has subsided.
