The Township of Malahide is seeking applications for consideration as the Township of Malahide appointee to the Elgin County Land Division Committee. Township of Malahide residents interested in being considered for appointment to the Elgin County Land Division Committee are invited to complete the application form.
Serving on the Elgin County Land Division Committee is a rewarding and enriching experience. The Elgin County Land Division Committee is an excellent opportunity for a resident who wants to become more involved in the land use planning process and local governance issues. The Elgin County Land Division Committee receives a variety of consent (severance) applications, which can include the creation of a new lot, additions to a lot, surplus farm dwelling severances and the creation of easements. As a member of the Elgin County Land Division Committee, local representatives vote on the decisions of severance applications as well as impose conditions, which must be fulfilled by the applicants. Conditions are recommended by Elgin County staff, conservation authorities, municipal staff and councils.
