Malahide Township is committed to accessibility by providing accessible services, programs and facilities in order to create a barrier free community.  The Township will promote accessibility through the development of policies, practices and procedures that consider people with disabilities. 

The Township will make every effort to provide an accessible environment and will continue to enhance and improve its practices in addition to ensuring that it meets the accessibility needs of persons with disabilities in a timely manner, under the requirements of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 and its regulations.

The purpose of the Act is to achieve a fully accessible Ontario by 2025.  The AODA is made up of five standards which include Customer Service, the Integrated Accessibility Standard  (includes additional general requirements, information and communication, employment, transportation) and the Built Environment.

Any document found on our website is available in a variety of accessible formats.  Accessible formats for documentation and communication supports will be provided by the Township of Malahide on request. Requests for accessible formats will be addressed in a timely manner and can be done so by contacting the Township office.
