Council Meeting 

Council meetings are held in the Council Chambers located at the Springfield & Area Community Services Building, 51221 Ron McNeil Line in Springfield.  

Malahide Township Council meetings can be viewed via our YouTube channel.  The livestream will be available when the regularly scheduled meeting begins and a link to the recording available after the meeting.  

Attend a Meeting

At this time, seating capacity is limited and those individuals with matters pertaining to agenda items will be prioritized for in person attendance.  

Request to Appear before the Council

If you have a concern about something happening in the Township, contact the Manager of Legislative Services/Clerk to discuss the issue before registering as a delegation. Some concerns can be addressed by staff without having to go to Council for a decision.

If your issue cannot be resolved by staff and you wish to appear before Council as a delegation, a written request (letter or email) must be received by the Manager of Legislative Services/Clerk by 12:00 noon on the Monday prior to the Council meeting.  The written request should explain the reason for appearing before Council.   It is recommended that all groups appoint one person to act as their spokesperson. The Manager of Legislative Services/Clerk will confirm that you have been included on the agenda prior to the meeting.

Individuals who submit letters and other information to Council and its Committees should be aware that any personal information contained within their communications may become part of the public record and may be made available through the agenda process which includes publication on the Township's website.

Closed Sessions

In some cases Malahide Township's Council will need to meet privately to address confidential matters.  These closed meetings are not open to the public and are governed by the rules set out in Section 239 of the Municipal Act.
